Adult Screen Print Workshop – Iconic Portraiture
Friday 7 March | 10am-4pm | £85 pp
This day-long workshop will take you on a deep dive into screen printing, led by artist and printmaker Emma Gregory. Stepping into the world of iconic portraits from mid-century America, you will recreate the same techniques used by makers of the time. Artists such as Andy Warhol and Richard Hamilton combined screen-printed photographic elements with paint to create some of their most acclaimed works. You will screen print in colour, layering up loose and vibrant backgrounds for a stencil based on your own photograph. Expect to go home with a series of printed ‘portraits’ ready to frame.
