Home Education workshop - KS1 Going Greek 

This workshop is specifically programmed for home educators (5-8yrs) to access and enjoy the museum's collection through exploration and creativity. 

Friday 25th April, 10am - 12noon 

14 places available = £10 per child  (all children must be supported by an adult throughout the workshop)

In this workshop pupils will:-

  • Discover the artistic legacy of the classical world
  • Learn how grand tours helped to spread ideas in 18th and early 19th century Europe
  • Explore Greek myths depicted in paintings, sculpture and ceramics
  • Make a clay plaque inspired by artefacts in the museum 

The workshop structure includes one hour of led activities exploring the museum galleries, followed by an hour's making session working in clay. 

Children with Additional Needs – It is essential to discuss any special needs your child may have with the Learning and Engagement Officer prior to booking to assess the suitability of the workshop for your child (01225 388568) and the levels of support we are able to offer. The Museum is fully accessible, with an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
