Home Education workshop - A Sustainable Georgian
This workshop is specifically programmed for home educators (5-8yrs) to access and enjoy the museum's collection through exploration and creativity.
Wednesday 24th September 2025, 10am - 12noon
16 places available = £8 per child + £2 booking fee (all children must be supported by an adult throughout the workshop)
In this workshop pupils will:-
- Learn about the trends and fashions of Georgian Bath with an eco-friendly twist!
- Explore objects in the Holburne collection that showcase examples of Georgian Fashion and learn how the Georgians tried to be sustainable.
- Learn how to create a playful self-portrait as a Georgian, developing embossing, collage and drawing skills with sustainable and secondhand materials.
The workshop structure includes 30 minutes of led activities exploring the museum galleries, followed by a 1.5hrs making session.
Children with Additional Needs – It is essential to discuss any special needs your child may have with the Learning and Engagement Officer prior to booking to assess the suitability of the workshop for your child (01225 388568) and the levels of support we are able to offer. The Museum is fully accessible, with an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
